Voice

Voice refers to TDA Connect’s consistent values and identity through all written communication. These voice guidelines are designed to create a positive experience for all TDA graduates.

Inclusive

Foster a welcoming environment by respecting diverse opinions, backgrounds, and cultures. Content should be clear, thoughtful, nonjudgmental, and accessible. Content should never discriminate or marginalise any individual or group. Use plain language, and provide relevant context and explanations to ensure that content is easily understood and meaningful to all.

Empathetic

Strive for meaningful connections by making space for each user’s unique story. Be sensitive to community challenges and offer support and guidance. Content should be well-researched and actively seek feedback from users. Content should encourage users to share and promote engagement in the community.

Professional

Maintain a standard for communication that is respectful and considerate. Aim to strike a balance between approachable and authoritative. Provide accurate and reliable information to be trusted as a credible source.


Tone

Tone adapts the voice to be appropriate in different situations. Use these guidelines to adjust the tone of TDA Connect.

Positive Situations

Used for welcome copy, success messages and uploads, and expanding your community (creating a group, joining a group, and adding a friend).
