This page is to outline and document the procedures we will follow when collecting and storing interview participant data.

Interview Scheduling
A Contact-Intake Form will be given to Tammie to share with potential participants (5-7 in Sprint 1). The Contact-Intake form asks for the following information: Name, email, timezone, availability.
Potential interview participants will state their general availability on form. They can choose to provide a pseudonym if they so wish.
This intake form will be deleted after the 9- week project finishes [Date]
Research Apprentices will be assigned an interview participant and will contact them directly and send them a Calendly link to schedule interview.
One interviewer and one notetaker from the Research Team will take part in the interview.
Interview Sessions
What platform will we use to conduct the interviews?
-Vowel: Confidentiality concerns with the meeting recordings shared beyond wider team
Morgan has created a separate Vowel account for this project. However, the recordings are still stored on servers beyond Tech Fleet.
-Google Meet: We would need to also use an AI Transcription tool (i.e Condens)
-Zoom: generate transcription, but edited for accuracy or use Otter.Ai. (zoom can separate video and audio)
Data Collection
Participant information and consent will be provided prior to the interview. However, at the beginning of interview, participants will be informed again about recording. For example:
“Since our interview is for research purposes, it would be helpful if I video-record our interview. Do I have your permission to start recording now? It’s okay to say no, and you can decide to stop recording at any time for any reason.”
Following our Research Meeting (28 March), we agreed that it is important to record the audio to review interviews for tone and interaction, but we will delete audio after project [See Data Storage below].
