Food Distro Phase 2 - Qualitative Data Coding Workshop.pptx
[ ] Each interview will be coded by 2 researchers: the facilitator and note-taker.
[ ] Use the tags above to code the anonymized interview transcripts in Google Doc (not the interview notes).
[ ] For each relevant piece of text, highlight the text with the corresponding color (e.g., text describing a pain point would be highlighted in red)
[ ] Attach a comment for that highlighted text specifying the code and a brief comment about context or meaning or why it applies (e.g., “Pain point: struggle to find consistent volunteers for redistribution efforts”). Example below:
[ ] Once you finish coding, copy and paste each quote and comment together into appropriate color stickies the UXR Figjam (e.g., the pain point quote and comment would be pasted together on a red sticky note). Remember to specify which User ID the information coms from.
[ ] Summarize quotes and comments into key take-aways.
[ ] Organize (affinity mapping) the data into hierarchies, example here (see group feature). Team collaborate to summarize into key takeaways and reccomendations.
