What's Next for Research
- Austin: After coding the interviews and creating an affinity map based on common themes found in the interviews, the research team concluded the next research team to focus on the pain points discovered by the interviewees working in small/mid-sized businesses as they are the focus of MVP 1.
- Some issues include where in the food redistribution process these businesses experience the most issues, what defines a good partnership aside from having consistent pick-ups and delving more into understanding motivations to reduce food waste, and appeal to these motivations to encourage partnership with redistribution partners.
- Sam: Now that we have a decent understanding of the food redistribution space with secondary research & insights from interviews, the next steps would be to conduct usability tests on the design team’s prototype, as well as conduct more primary research (whether it be interviews, surveys, or other methods) to find out how we can best support businesses and NGOs in forming strong partnerships.
- Rachel: Continue to conduct user interviews with food redistribution organizations and food businesses in order to really understand their pain points and needs. Secondary research was helpful at painting the picture, but primary research helped to put the puzzle pieces together.
