A note for Phase 4 Design Team:

Phase 1 - 3 saw heavy research work for TST and Nikki. In Phase 3, probably the most successful research phase (by the number of surveys and user interviews completed), the team drew deep insights into the user for the platform, the market and different platforms that exist currently. The design team started P3 with the goal to continue to develop hi-fidelity designs from Phase 2 work, and the first step we took was in creating a design system. When the pivot happened, we worked with research to be able to expedite the learnings - we created a competitive analysis of platforms like Kickstarter and Patreon, helped with user interviews, and defining the first task flow we would be working on. We wanted to be sure we made a solid design in lo-fi that solved the problems the client and user faced vs just designing more. The main value proposition for the designs we created is that a creator can organize and view their separate projects, easily share them with their audience, and be able to add new posts about the project. This was well received by NIkki.

Here are some of the features we did not get to design in this phase, but we believe are important and high priority for next phase:

Assets and Deliverables

⭐️ Final TST Phase 3 Designs Final design concept for client - This needs further testing and validations for next phase. Link
Design System v1 Before the pivot, the design team started working on the design system v1 and collaborated with developers briefly. However, it was put on hold since the pivot.
This will be built out in the future phases. Link
Competitive Analysis During weeks 2-3, the Design team collaborated with Research and Content in analyzing different “behind-the-scenes” platforms and comparing features and gathering insights to implement in TST Link
Design Workshop During weeks 3-5, the Design team collaborated with the Content team in producing concept sketches during a “Crazy 8’s” process, consolidated initial ideas and features, and went through design critiques with other teams Link
Design Workshop 2 During weeks 6-7, the Design and Content teams produced more detailed sketches of the features and assets from previous weeks, worked on sketching end-to-end task flows, and started lo-fi wireframing various pages of the flow Link
Feature Priority List 1.0 During week 5, the Design team listed out comments/questions of features from design sketches that had been completed. Prioritized actions and assigned roles. Used all of this for the next round of sketche Link
Feature Priority List 2.0 During week 8, design/product/research/content teams prioritized the main features that were important for the MVP of P3. These were features we wanted to make sure were included in our P3 designs, based on research. Within this document is also a list of backlogged items that can be considered for P4. Link
Design System Plan Before the pivot, the design team took the designs from P2 and created a design system. this was the plan in place to be able to execute on the design system deliverable Link
Design System Priority List Before the pivot, when the design team were building the design system, we prioritized what components and elements to the design system would be included. Here is the sheet that shows this. Link
