Bottom nav bar content In progress The “Post” button in the bottom nav bar needs to be changed to one for message inbox once the message feature is built. A comment has been left on the Master Figma Client Demo Decks page for reference. The “Post” button is not needed in the bottom nav bar since a post can be created by clicking the input box at the top of the Feed page (inspiration taken from Facebook).
Filter / Toggle switch button design In progress In the designs from Phase 2, there were 3 versions of the filter/sort button - the goal then was to create a single version that could be used throughout the whole design. The client approved the version we created, so the filter/sort button needs to be changed ASAP in the Mobile Prototypes/Working page and in the Mobile prototypes/Dev page, and then the new filter/sort button needs to be forwarded to the Dev team. The updated component can be located in the Design System. Comment left in the Client Demo Decks page as reference.
Filter Chips Design In progress Change the filter / chip design to differentiate its function in different elements. On the group card (that shows up on the feed), the chips are used to show hashtags, which are mostly informational and not interactive. When creating a group, the chips are interactive and used for filtering purposes. Change the colour and add a hashtag before the content on the group card.
Remove global search option on the top nav bar In progress Suggesting at the last client demo to remove global search option at the top nav bar - it is not possible to have this feature with low-bandwidth designs. There are some local search options implemented in social feed designs (communicate with dev team about this possibility. If approved change the top nav bar on all the screens - new instance is already designed as a variant.
Main feed content In progress Addressing a question at the last client demo - What does the user see when they log in for the first time, as they are not part of any groups or dont have any friends yet?
Like button redesign In progress The new like button redesigned (old one had uneven stroke weight). It is present in the Design System, next to old like button. New one needs to be implemented in Design System as an icon and replaced in all designs.
Recommendations from Phase 2 + progress Progress Comments
Implementing new brand guidelines In progress On Client Demo Deck page you can find 3 sample screens designs the client approved, together with the Brand Guidelines. Follow these aesthetics together with new brand guidelines while redesigning the flows.
Align UXD1 and UXD2’s overlapping components In progress There are still a lot of components not yet added into the design system. Look critically through all of the instances - there might be designs/instances scattered around in various files from Phase 2. If we have found them - we tried to recover them or we had to create a new main components.
Accessibility audit of all designs In progress When doing redesigns we took into account the basic accessibility guidelines by WCAG. Audit conducted on the first priority flows and results can be found on the Master Figma page “Screen audits”
Typography audit of all designs In progress Typography audit was completed for the Sign-Up and Onboarding flows only; some work was done on Quick Exit, FAQ, and Profile Management screens
