*“One day, the mountain that is in front of you will be so far behind you, it will be barely visible in the distance. But the person you become in learning to get over it? That will stay with you forever – and that is the point of the mountain.”

When you set your mind to it, you can accomplish anything here at Tech Fleet. Although, some of us have to work 10x harder because we need to learn new skills on the job. It takes a lot of bravery and courage to work through this kind of pain: the pain of ambiguity, navigating the vastness of the unknown. But with this, you can create your own path. Please allow this handbook to be a guide to your new path, as these are the greatest lessons that have led to success for leads with no prior Tech Fleet experience. Enjoy :)
Daily stand-ups (async should take 2 minutes) to make sure team is aware of what you’re working on and of any potential roadblocks
Schedule all meetings ahead of time with agendas in mind you never want to come to a meeting unprepared
Post all meetings on the shadow channels and always add [email protected] to all meetings to make sure they’re reflected on the tech fleet calendar for everyone to see
Make sure you’re on track with the product roadmap and that you’re letting your product team know of any necessary pivots
As a project lead, you are a role model for your team and responsible for fostering a positive and productive work environment. This includes recognizing and celebrating team successes, pivoting as needed, and maintaining high morale. You are also the main point person to contact your client to schedule bi-monthly check-ins and bi-monthly meetings.
As a Product Strategy Lead, you'll work with the client and team to develop and implement the product vision. You will help create and manage the project roadmap and work with the team to prioritize tasks and goals. The Product Strategy Lead should also feel comfortable speaking up to facilitate meetings and ensure that everyone is on the same page.
Weekly or bi-monthly 1:1’s with all apprentices is encouraged
