Completed 2nd round of usability testing
- 4 participants for moderated tests, 17 participants for unmoderated tests (if I’m interpreting Figjam board correctly)
- Tested 4 tasks:
- Create written post
- Send a message to a mentor and book a time with the mentor
- Check your calendar
- Find a live session
- Insights social media:
- Clear [clarify?] purpose for TST because people use different platforms for different reasons — define if this is a social media platform or learning
- Keeping in touch and networking are important features for majority of users
- Research what type of content users would like to see after establishing purpose of TST
- Insights mentorship:
- Industry professionals
- Mentors is different for everyone
- What type of mentorship should be available for TST?
- What should we call this service/what are the expectation?
- What is the vetting process for mentors?
- Expects regular communication with multiple ways to communicate
- Would like meetings/phone conversation — not just messaging
- Wants to get feedback/learn from their mentors
- Expects mentors to have experience
- Expects support documents/information about mentor experience
- Expects mentors to be available
- Insights visual design:
- Overall, a clean design
- Navigation was simple for people — just work on messaging
- Likes messaging layout

- What would be the options for moderation?
- Posts getting too political
- Insights calendar:
- Add a feature to see everyone’s availability
- Liked the instant message/calendar integration (some found this hard)
- Confusion on calendar colors — clearly define
- Liked the feature of being able to book times
- Consider integrating other calendars in the app or send information to other calendars (I’m assuming to Google calendar, iCal, Outlook)

- Test with more TST users that aren’t on social media
- How can we have discussion in a healthy manner on the platform?
- Likes the tag feature — but confused about colors — needs clarity
- Likes that you can access saved posts
- Questions about followers? Would like suggested friends/connections. Revisit friends in the app
- How can we add comments/discussion
- Insights “normal” (conventions) social media functionality
- Do people want to have videos? If so — in what context?

- Insights confused:
- There was some confusion on horizontal scroll
- There was some issues with prototype timing
- Make overlay larger where you can have more people and scroll
- Revisit the send a message flow — there was some confusion

- The interaction to get from room to room needs to be worked on
- Needs testing for labels (AB Testing?)

- People want to get their opinions
- People want more meaningful content — not self-centered content
- Would like visibility
- Needs to revisit the flow to examine the differences between posting text/posting photos (users felt like it varied between the two)
