Problem Statement
The barriers to entry for new users to onboard into the world of crypto and blockchain are very high, causing many people to avoid it entirely. One of Kadet Wallet’s stated goals is to appeal to new crypto users and make it just as easy for them to use the application as experienced users. However, we don’t yet know specifically what problems new users experience nor what their specific needs are when trying to onboard into crypto.
Research Goal(s)
Interview users who are new to crypto (meaning they have no experience using a crypto wallet app) to identify and understand their specific needs, problems, and frustrations
Research Objectives
- Send flow:
- Gas station
- When paying the gas themselves, learn if users expect to see gas fees and the ability to change the transaction speed
- When NOT paying the gas, learn if users expect to see gas fees and the ability to change the transaction speed
- Page hierarchy
- Learn what users expect to see when they click “Send” from the dashboard screen
- Learn whether users prefer to see amounts in both KDA and USD or in one currency
- Address selection
- Learn what users expect to have quick access to when sending to an address (accounts, recents, favorites, or something else)
- Transaction History:
- Transaction visual cues
- Learn if users find the color-coded transactions easy to understand or if they add more complexity
- Learn if the included iconography is sufficient
- Transaction summary popup
- Learn if users have any questions or concerns about what’s presented on this page
- Learn if users expect to see anything that isn’t currently in the design
