What we want to test

  1. Have the problems that were present in the first test been solved/improved on or are there new/sustained issues?
  2. Are there any points in the flows that confuse users

Exploratory Questions

  1. What got you interested in crypto?
  2. What did you use to learn how to use crypto
  3. What do you think crypto wallets can do to have make your transition into crypto smoother (eh find better question with less cognitive load)
  4. or: Has a wallet done anything that made your understanding of crypto a lot clearer or easier?
  5. Why do you trade in multiple chains?
  6. What entices you to try out a new chain?
  7. What are your preferred ways to transact? (goal is to find out what devices they use to transact and why - essentially insights into behaviour, device use and what they think and feel etc)
  8. What devices do you prefer to use to transact? Why?
  9. What are your thoughts about Kadena compared to other blockchains?
  10. Did you encounter any problems while trying to enter the Kadena space?
  11. Where did you turn to learn more about Kadena?

With the first round of research complete, we now understand many of the pain points experienced crypto users go through. We also encountered many areas in the initial prototype we tested that caused issue or confusion in our users.

We need to understand to reasoning and thought process behind why these users choose to trade in crypto and why they may partake in multiple cryptocurrencies. We also will be testing the new prototype by the design team to recognize where the successes and opportunities are.

Kadet Wallet is a proposed open source crypto wallet browser extension with the goal of making it easy and seamless for users to send tokens across different blockchains. Kadet Wallet will be built on the Kadena blockchain and forked from the open-source Metamask wallet extension.

The vision for Kadet is to create an experience where users don’t have to think to utilize the blockchain. The extension seeks to eliminate user error involved in sending and receiving tokens by automatically validating details of a transaction and alerting users if there’s a problem before they make a costly mistake.

We want to start leaning towards understanding the journey that crypto users have when transitioning into the crypto space.
