Currently, team members are working without a clear understanding of who finEQUITY users are.
The three broad user groups identified by the client are Participants (formerly incarcerated community members who are not affiliated with a Partner and will not get access to the web app), Partners (second chance employers or prison reentry organizations), and Donors/Funders.
These groups are based on how each user will interact with the finEQUITY website and the general objectives of each user. The purpose of this research is to provide team members with psychographic and behavioral data that sheds lights on users goals, needs, attitudes, motivations, and challenges related to accessing financial health services and more specifically the finEQUITY website.

This research will address the following objectives as they pertain to Participants:

Sprint 2
Secondary research is a cheap and quick way to understand broad user groups and refine research questions. To provide preliminary information about finEQUITY users for our team members, the UXR team will be conducting secondary research to understand the the 3 user groups outlined by the client.
UXR team members will work in the UXR Figjam (Sprint 2 section). Each column is a theme related to goals, attitudes, behaviors, and challenges of finEQUITY users. Within each column are a series of questions that begin to address that theme.
In our 12/12 meeting, UXR team members will brainstorm additional themes and questions to explore through secondary research.
Asynchronously, team members will look for sources related to these themes/questions and begin compiling relevant data from these sources. As you analyze sources (academic articles, promotional videos, conference panels, websites, white papers, etc.), take screenshots to paste under the relevant question and/or pull out relevant quotes and statistics. Make sure that the screenshots, quotes, and statistics that you post in Figjam include a citation.
Secondary research sources should be tracked in Sheets
The data we collect will be shared with team members in the form of User Personas.
This research will also allow us to identify questions about users that we are unable to answer without conducting generative research and guide future research plans.
