Problem Statement

The preservation and revitalization of Taíno culture face significant challenges due to fragmented knowledge, lack of accurate information, language barriers, and limited digital accessibility.

Solution Justification/Vision

To address these issues, there is a need for a digital immersive platform for the conference that enhances engagement, usability, and accessibility. This platform should consolidate educational resources, support interactive and scalable dual-language content, and facilitate effective knowledge sharing within the Taíno community and beyond, ultimately fostering a stronger and more cohesive cultural identity.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to outline the requirements for the development of a conference website that showcases the Taíno culture, facilitates knowledge sharing, and provides educational resources in an interactive and accessible manner.

Goals & Objectives

  1. Develop a user-friendly landing page that displays the three islands - Kúba, Aytí/Kiskéya, and Borikén
  2. Provide dual-language support to cater to a diverse audience.
  3. Consolidate educational resources related to Taíno culture.
  4. Enhance digital accessibility for users with varying levels of technological proficiency.
