General recommendations
- Collaborate with MPH interns to explore what cultural backgrounds (what are the most inclusive terminologies we can use? Should the cultural backgrounds listed mirror the background that mentors on the platform identify with?) to include on the mentee questionnaire and mentee profile.
- Collaborate with MPH interns to explore set list for sexual orientations and identities. What are the appropriate labels? What category does trans fall under? Should it be separate from gender identities?
Explore the idea of including a disabilities option.
- Assess comprehension and inclusiveness of the mentor focus areas (listed in the mentee questionnaire, and the search page as filters)
Onboarding prototype usability testing goals
- Determine overall ease of sign up and onboarding process
- How do users feel about email verification and 2FA?
- Assess overall trustworthiness, professionalism, and confidence in Mentorship program and Mentors offered.
- Determine the overall level of content comprehension, impressions, and usability across prototype.
- Determine expectations the user has for the mentor profile (shown as an example on the landing page, and as mentor cards on the user’s dashboard).
- Determine what the next step the user would take after landing on the dashboard after onboarding - are they stuck, confused?
Mentor card A/B testing goals

- Assess comprehension and inclusiveness of the mentor focus areas tags
- Determine whether users prefer one row of tags (focus areas) or two rows (focus areas + skills).
- Determine whether users prefer a hover state to show more information about the mentor.
- Assess comprehension of the “great match” and “available now” (available now copy was recommended to be explored by phase 3 UXD, as it could be confusing to users) tags.
- Determine expectations the user has for the mentor profile based on the information shown on the mentor card.
