SOP for Client Intake
Intake process:
- We publish specific times when we accept proposals along with descriptions of what we offer (we might also define current themes, locations, etc that we will support)
- We reach out to nonprofits we want to work with as well as promote in relevant spaces
- We open the application process during these windows
- Applications go through a gut check pass with Morgan and LX (they are in fact nonprofit, they are values-aligned)
- We update applicants that their project has either been rejected or moved to the next round
- Board reviews the projects and assesses from a number of criteria
- How excited we think our community will be about the project
- How much work does the client need
- Whether the client has budget (not every one needs to have it, but we should take this into consideration)
- How much information shared and enthusiasm shown
- Access to client’s own beneficiaries (”end users”)
- Partnership opportunities
- Location / time zone
- We update applicants that their project has either been rejected or moved to the next round
- We interview the client to ensure we’re aligned on what we are offering and what they want
- We launch the project at the next launch date.
To set up before we implement new intake:
- Define types of projects with descriptions and deliverables
- Create a reasonable timeline for opening applications → Launch accommodating scheduling interviews
- Create a schedule of project launching keeping in mind holidays
