She also has a background as an engagement manager at a language-learning software company, serving as a liaison between customers and development teams to improve and sometimes create new technologies for teaching and learning a variety of languages.

Javier Hernandez

Language Expert

Javier is a distinguished linguist, polyglot, and Taino expert who spent 10 years reconstructing the Taino language in verbal and written form. Javier speaks 9 languages and is a member of the International Association of Hyperpolyglots.

Product/Technical Advisor (experience building language learning platforms)

Yessenia is a Software Engineer and Technical Product Manager at Microsoft. Yessenia has experience doing data and backend engineering for Microsoft's Xbox division. She will be an advisor on this project to assist with product-related questions.
