Project Summary

Life Scholar is a nonprofit that supports 529 college savings plans for underprivileged individuals. Their “Life Beautified” platform will allow brands to partner by offering merchandise and other things for purchase, and part of the revenue commissions will be put towards individuals’ college savings plans. Tech Fleet’s going to work with the client to design and build the platform.

Project Goals

  1. Perform exploratory and evaluative UX research throughout the entire project in order to define product-market fit and target audience needs
  2. Strategize and brainstorm ideas that can create ideal experiences based on the research insights we learn in the project.
  3. Work with the client to formally define MVP and MMP vision for the product
  4. Define product MVP requirements for the team to follow when building out their solution in this phase and future phases
  5. Create high-fidelity design sets representing all pages to be developed in the MVP

Project Deliverables (to be refined by the team when the project launches)

  1. Continue research and testing insights/recommendations from continuous discovery (zero to many rounds of research per week)
  2. High fidelity, pixel-perfect, designs working towards a progressive web app
  3. Technical architecture diagrams for the platform
  4. Feature specifications are documented in the form of user stories, acceptance criteria, and UX deliverables.
  5. UX artifacts that the team creates to communicate the needs and vision, including (but not limited to) site maps, UI kits, user task flows, user stories, personas, user journeys, etc.
